MEET CHRISTIANA, THE DEESIGN DIVA
I'm Christiana Duncan-August, founder of The Deesign Collective and the creative eye behind Deesign Trends™. My approach to design is rooted in a simple belief: a thoughtfully designed space can make everyday life easier, more comfortable and more intentional.
My educational background brings together both the creative and business sides of design, with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture & Environmental Design and a master's degree in Business, Art & Design. Professionally, I have worked as an interior designer across both residential and commercial environments, with specialized experience in kitchens, bathrooms and closets.
That combination of architecture, interior design, specialized space planning and business shapes the way I look at a room. I don't only see colors, finishes and décor. I see circulation, storage, proportion, workflow, routines, opportunities and the small frustrations that keep a space from working as well as it could.
WHY “DEESIGN”?
Deesign is more than a playful spelling of design. It represents an intentional way of thinking about the spaces, products and details that become part of everyday life.
For me, good Deesign asks more than, “Is it beautiful?” It also asks: Does it function well? Does it solve a real problem? Does it support the people using it? Does it deserve the space it takes up?
THE DEESIGN COLLECTIVE
The Deesign Collective is the interior design side of the brand, focused on creating functional, beautiful and purposeful spaces. Kitchens, bathrooms and closets are particular areas of specialization, supported by experience working with both residential and commercial spaces. My faith is not an accessory to this business. It is the foundation beneath it. The Deesign philosophy is anchored in Proverbs 24:3–4:

That scripture speaks directly to the way I want to build: with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, integrity and gratitude to God.
